PURE HEMP OIL

Hemp oil is arguably one of the most environmentally friendly and gentle oil finishes available today. Our hemp oil is food safe and completely harmless, even for small children. In addition, hemp can grow in almost any part of the world without the use of pesticides or herbicides and does not need to be imported. Our hemp oil is different from many other hemp oils because it is cold pressed and not refined, which preserves most of the antimicrobial and antifungal properties. It dries quickly and is surface dry after just a few hours, although it can take 14-28 days to be completely absorbed by the wood. This of course depends heavily on the ambient temperature, application quantity and the absorbency of the wood. In the meantime, you can continue to use your hemp oil treated piece, but you must protect it from water and heavy use. Hemp oil can have a deep green colour, but this is not visible on the wood. After drying, our hemp oil leaves a matt, warm, water-repellent surface, the inherent colour and grain of the wood are enlivened (wet effect) and the wood takes on a depth effect called brilliance. Perfect for untreated wood, stained wood, as protection for Old Fashioned Milk Paint or chalk paints and ideal for reviving old wood in the restoration sector. Hemp oil can be reapplied at any time to refresh the surface and bring out the wood grain.
