The Shirabiki marking knife combines traditional craftsmanship with state-of-the-art materials and an exceptional design.The lightweight handle made of a titanium alloy and the blade made of extremely durable Magnacut steel are positively laminated by means of a fine dovetail profile. The flame-shaped hollow grind on the back of the blade reduces the contact surface during sharpening and marking. The marking knife is sharpened ready-to-use. Comes with high-quality leather case.

Magnacut steel

Magnacut steel is a powder-metallurgically produced, corrosion-resistant high-performance steel with a comparatively low chromium content. It is characterised by higher cutting edge retention compared to O1, A2, or similar PM steels. High-hardness vanadium and niobium carbides provide an excellent combination of impact toughness and wear resistance. Due to the low chromium content and the resulting fine-grained structure, impressive sharpness is achieved. Hardness 61-62 HRC.
