The saw-set pliers make it easy to set the teeth of resharpenable wood saws. Place the pliers on the tooth, making sure that the anvil hits the centre of the tooth. Tooth setting bends the teeth slightly outwards, preventing the saw from jamming as far as possible. The saw-set pliers are not suitable for circular saw blades. For hand saws with a tooth pitch of 4-12 TPI (teeth per inch). Max. blade thickness 1.6 mm.
