These one-piece forged slotted screwdrivers with wooden inserts are extremely complex to manufacture. Similar models were made by hand around 1880 in Thuringia, Germany by a tool shop. The screwdrivers were also produced in the USA and Japan and, due to their robust design, were used by the military as on-board tools in tanks.
