Fraxinus spp

White to olive brown, ring-porous wood with high tensile and bending strength. Ash is elastic with good mechanical characteristics. When steamed, it is easy to bend. The white wood is particularly easy to stain. It often has a olive-coloured heart. Used to make tool handles, bent wooden parts, parquet flooring, floor planking, turned objects and for furniture making. Density 690 kg/m³
