Description

Castanea spp
 
The chestnut is not originally a native plant of Germany. It was not until 1561, that the chestnut arrived in Prague from Constantinople and spread throughout Europe. Chestnut wood is used for furniture making, woodturning and carving. Density 600 kg/m³
