Description

Fagus sylvatica

Very attractive grain thanks to the vividly coloured effects caused by fungi. The reddish-brown to black markings give the wood its particular charm. Spalted beechwood is used for turned and handcrafted items. Density 720 kg/m³

Note: The dimensions description for each piece follows a convention of LENGTH x WIDTH x THICKNESS with the SIDE GRAIN down the length - e.g. a piece 400 x 180 x 80mm is 400mm long, has SIDE GRAIN on all 4 long faces and the two END GRAIN faces in this example would be by deduction 180 x 80mm.
