Description

Betula spp
Spalted birch is very different from conventional birch wood due to its remarkably strong grain caused by fungal infestation. It features remarkable brown to black-white spots. Spalted birch wood is ideal for woodturning and polishes very well. Density 650 kg/m³

Note: The dimensions description for each piece follows a convention of LENGTH x WIDTH x THICKNESS with the SIDE GRAIN down the length - e.g. a piece 400 x 180 x 80mm is 400mm long, has SIDE GRAIN on all 4 faces and the two END GRAIN faces in this example would be by deduction 180 x 80mm.
